Now out of warranty and I have the same issue of the lower battery tab folding down and losing tension and therefore adequate contact with the battery. While Sordin does cost a pretty penny, there is a lot that makes it the better option. In terms of functionality, comfort and usability, you get the best deal with Sordin.

Based on your experiences, is a CommTac or Sordin worth the buy? From what I understand, CommTac 3 has the amplification feature already on it, and both Commtac and Sordin has multi-directional hearing. this is my comparison of the comtac 2 headset and the element / z tactical sordins. my preference is the sordins because the sound quality is much clearer an 2020-10-17 2017-08-19 Comtac I: 2xAA batteries on left side.
